Use case 04 · Contractors facing prequalification

Facing prequalification? Have your training records ready before the bid

The bid is due Friday and the client wants proof your crew is trained. That is the wrong week to start looking for paperwork.

Why owners ask

Facility owners and general contractors carry risk for everyone working on their sites, so many screen contractors before they can bid. Prequalification often runs through platforms such as ISNetworld, Avetta or Veriforce, or through the client's own questionnaire. Training records are almost always part of it.

What reviewers usually want to see

  • Who was trained, by name.
  • Which course, and what it covered.
  • When it was completed, and when it expires.
  • Who delivered the training.

Requirements differ from client to client, so read each request closely. The common thread is dated, specific evidence.

Certificates that answer those questions

A Jonah certificate is a PDF with the worker's name, the course, the topics covered, the dates, the instructor of record and the issuing authority. Workers download their own and the office can download them too, so you are not waiting on anyone.

Proof anyone can check

Every certificate carries a QR code and a certificate number. A reviewer can scan it, or type the number at jonahsafety.com/verify, to see whether it is current today. No login is needed, and the check never shows scores or attempt counts.

Keep the record current between bids

Prequalification is rarely one and done: many clients check again every year. Expiry alerts warn you before a certificate lapses, and the roster shows who is current at a glance, so the next request is a download rather than a scramble.

Where Jonah stops

Jonah does not connect to ISNetworld, Avetta or Veriforce, and it does not fill out prequalification questionnaires. It gives you the certificates and records to upload. Whether a client accepts them is the client's decision.

Put this to work with your crew

Create an account, add your people and assign the course. Workers train on their own phones, in English or Spanish.
